The mission of STYRO-FREE is simple: get restaurants to stop using styrofoam.

Styrofoam is the worst form of disposable packaging. It is not recyclable, sits in landfills for eternity, never, ever breaking down, AND recent studies suggest that it might also be a health risk.

STRYO-FREE is for consumers to share their favorite restaurants that have chosen a better alternative to this nasty material. Share your favorites! The goal for the future will be to recruit new restaurants to commit to stop using styrofoam in favor of another material that is recyclable or biodegradable. More to come on that....

Cheers!

  2. Totally awesome!!! How do we add restaurants? Spoons and Whole Foods (deli) do not use styrofoam.
